TREATMENT GUIDES

Technique follows the treatment plan.

The right approach depends on the individual — and sometimes more than one technique may be combined within a single restoration strategy.

Treatment and quotation follow consultation and assessment.

Your treatment approach is selected around your goals, hair-loss pattern, donor area, hair characteristics and individual assessment, together with the intended operating doctor’s clinical judgement.

01

FUE

Follicular Unit Extraction

Individual follicular units are extracted directly from the donor area using small punches, avoiding a linear strip scar. FUE offers flexibility across many restoration patterns, while larger sessions demand especially careful extraction planning to protect donor density and future options.

02

FUT

Follicular Unit Transplantation

A narrow strip of hair-bearing scalp is removed from the permanent donor zone and divided into individual follicular units for transplantation. FUT can be valuable in extensive or high-volume restoration where maximising scalp graft yield and preserving future donor options are important, although it does leave a linear donor scar.

DHI / Choi

Implanter-Assisted Placement

Specialised implanter pens allow controlled placement of grafts with close attention to depth, angle and direction. This can be particularly useful when placing among existing hair or when precise, dense placement is part of the treatment plan.

Long Hair / No-Shave

More Discreet Restoration

Long-hair and no-shave approaches can preserve more of the existing hairstyle and reduce how obvious the procedure looks during early recovery. The extraction and placement plan is adapted around the patient’s existing hair rather than automatically requiring a full shave.

Afro-Textured Hair

Planning for Curl Above and Below the Skin

Afro-textured hair requires careful planning for visible curl pattern as well as the curvature of follicles beneath the skin. Punch selection, extraction and placement are adapted to the individual donor characteristics while protecting natural direction and donor density.

Female Hair Transplantation

Female-Specific Design and Density Planning

Female hairlines, temple transitions, parting patterns and patterns of thinning can differ significantly from typical male restoration. LHT brings hands-on experience in female hair transplantation, with planning that considers those differences alongside existing density, direction, facial proportions and long-term goals.

Beard Transplantation

Facial-Hair Restoration

Beard restoration can add density to patchy areas or reshape selected parts of the beard. Graft selection, angle and direction are planned to blend with existing growth and suit the patient’s facial proportions.

Eyebrow Transplantation

Fine-Graft Brow Restoration

Eyebrow transplantation relies on fine graft selection and very shallow, precise placement. Shape, density, direction and the changing angle of brow hairs are planned around the individual face rather than using a standard template.

Body Hair Transplantation

An Additional Donor Resource

Body hair may supplement scalp donor supply in selected cases, particularly when additional graft resources are needed. Differences in calibre, texture and growth cycle mean it is used selectively and planned around the wider restoration strategy.

Combination Hair Transplantation

More Than One Technique, One Cohesive Plan

Different techniques may be deliberately combined when that better serves graft requirements, donor management or the intended result. This can include FUT and FUE in selected high-volume cases, or different implantation approaches across different areas of the same restoration.
