YOUR JOURNEY

Time to understand. Time to decide.

From first enquiry to early recovery, the LHT pathway is designed to give you clear information, direct access to your intended operating doctor, an individual plan and time to make the decision at your own pace.

01

Enquiry & information

Tell us what you would like to improve and share the information and photographs needed to understand your starting point. We use these to guide the next step and arrange the right consultation for you.

02

Consultation with your intended operating doctor

Your consultation is where the treatment starts to become personal. Your doctor assesses your hair-loss pattern, donor area, hair characteristics, existing density, goals and long-term needs, then talks you through the approaches that may suit you best. Density, hairline design, donor management, likely graft requirements and combination options can all be discussed, alongside the key risks, alternatives and any questions you want answered before deciding whether to proceed.

03

Treatment plan & quotation

Following your assessment, you receive an individual treatment plan setting out the recommended approach, the areas being treated and how your donor area will be managed. Your quotation is based on that plan rather than a standard package price.

04

Booking & reflection

If you choose to proceed, a £1,000 booking deposit secures your treatment date and is credited in full towards your treatment. You then have a minimum 14-day reflection period to review the plan and quotation, ask further questions and make your decision without pressure.

05

Your Arrival

Upon arrival at 33 Cavendish Square, you’ll check in at the building’s reception before being directed to our floor. There, a member of the London Hair Trust team will personally welcome you and guide you through the next steps of your visit.

06

Surgery-day reassessment

On the day of treatment, your doctor reassesses your scalp and donor area, reviews the agreed plan with you and confirms the final design before treatment begins. Any important changes are discussed first and your consent is reconfirmed before proceeding.

07

Procedure, discharge & follow-up

Your treatment is carried out according to your individual surgical plan, with graft care, donor management and placement tailored throughout the procedure. Before you leave, you receive written aftercare instructions, contact information and practical recovery guidance. A planned postoperative review takes place during days 1–14, with additional support whenever clinically indicated or requested.

LONG-TERM PATIENT SUPPORT

Continued Care. Considered Beyond Surgery.

Your restoration continues beyond surgery. Our 18-month continued-care pathway combines early recovery support, planned progress reviews and personalised guidance for maintaining your existing hair.

01 / FOLLOW-UP

18 Months of Continued Care

A scheduled check-in within 24 hours, further contact during days 1–14, a day-14 review and longer-term assessments of healing, growth and results. Your individual review plan will be explained before treatment.

02 / MAINTENANCE

12 Months of Hair-Maintenance Support

Where clinically suitable, your doctor may recommend treatments such as finasteride or minoxidil to help manage ongoing hair loss. Eligible patients may receive up to 12 months of prescribed hair-maintenance medication within their agreed package, subject to assessment, prescribing suitability and confirmed supply arrangements.

03 / PRP

Complimentary PRP at Reviews

Clinically tailored PRP may be offered at eligible face-to-face postoperative reviews where appropriate and safe. Other restorative therapies may be discussed according to your individual needs and agreed treatment plan.

What your follow-up looks like

Reviews are tailored to your recovery and clinical needs. The stages below describe our planned pathway, not a promise of a fixed appointment at every month.

Within 24 hours

We arrange a postoperative check-in to ask about your initial recovery, discuss early concerns and reinforce your discharge instructions. This is a scheduled contact, not a 24-hour telephone service.

Days 1–14

We make further planned contact during the early healing period, with practical guidance on washing, scalp care and expected recovery. A day-14 review is included in the pathway; additional assessment is arranged if clinically indicated.

Months 1–6

At agreed progress reviews, we assess recovery, expected shedding, early growth and scalp health, and discuss any concerns or changes to your care plan.

Months 6–12

We review developing growth and coverage, discuss progress against realistic expectations and reassess any suitable hair-maintenance treatment.

Months 12–18

Longer-term reviews consider your restoration results, ongoing hair loss and the maintenance strategy most appropriate for you.

Prescribed medication and long-term hair maintenance

A transplant redistributes hair; it does not necessarily stop future loss of your existing hair. Your doctor may discuss suitable maintenance options, including finasteride or minoxidil, following an individual assessment of benefits, risks, contraindications and preferences.

Where included in your agreed treatment package, eligible patients may receive up to 12 months of prescribed hair-maintenance medication. Medication is never automatic: it depends on clinical suitability, a valid prescription and confirmed supply arrangements. The medication, duration, review requirements, inclusions and any additional costs will be set out in writing before treatment. Treatment may be changed or stopped if clinically appropriate.

PRP and restorative support

PRP may be included at eligible in-person postoperative reviews when clinically suitable and safe. Any additional restorative therapies, appointment arrangements and costs are confirmed as part of your individual treatment plan.

The timing and format of reviews are individualised. Medication and PRP require clinical assessment, consent and availability. Your written treatment plan and quotation confirm what is included.
